United Arab Emirates; 9 November 2022: Abeer Alshaali, Deputy Managing Director, Gulf Craft, joined an elite panel of experts during the first day of the Gulf Superyacht Summit 2022 by SuperYacht Times, in association with P&O Marinas. The annual event is a unique platform that brings together industry professionals with a singular goal – to develop the Gulf as a superyacht destination.
Dubai is becoming increasingly recognized as one of the world’s rapidly emerging international yachting destinations, thanks to its world-class maritime facilities, its position as a global travel transit hub, and its rich maritime heritage. During the 2-day event, yachting and maritime enthusiasts shared insights and engaged with industry professionals including dealers, brokers, shipyards & marinas.
‘Gulf Day’, the first day of the Summit, focused on the Gulf region from a regulatory, business, and cruising perspective. Abeer Alshaali discussed the latest developments in the Gulf Region and Gulf Craft’s contribution as a locally home-grown Emirati company.
As one of the world’s leading fully integrated boat and yacht manufacturers Gulf Craft designs, develops, builds, and delivers all its high-quality vessels at its shipyard in Umm Al Quwain in the UAE. Gulf Craft is the world’s leader in composite hull production, consistently raising the bar in design and performance, and further cemented its position as an innovator in the use of composites with the Majesty 175, the world’s largest composite production superyacht. Although most of Gulf Craft’s Superyachts crafted by its brand - Majesty Yachts, have been sold outside of the Gulf Region, the other brands under the company’s umbrella – Nomad Yachts, Oryx & Silvercraft offer versatile yachts, sport cruisers & leisure boats. All of which underlines the shipyard’s commitment to promoting leisure boating & cruising opportunities in the UAE.
With major ports such as Dubai Harbour and Mina Rashid providing facilities to cater for boats and yachts of all sizes, the UAE is rapidly emerging as an international yachting destination but also as a hub for the community and the crew.
Patricia Caswell - QC Manager and General Manager of Gulf Craft Services joined the expert panel for the “Looking After the Growing Fleet in the UAE” session.
As the superyacht fleet grows globally and in the region, the marinas need to be well equipped and so do the local shipyards like Gulf Craft for all types of service and maintenance needs.
Gulf Craft takes pride in the provision of maintenance, after-sales & warranty services to its clientele. With its in-house and multi-skilled service team as well as state-of-the-art facilities, Gulf Craft caters to different yachts and boats from all brands – not only Gulf Craft.
The Gulf Craft Service Centres are located in our shipyard in Umm Al Quwain along with a stand-alone service centre in Ajman. All kinds of maintenance and services are available at both of these locations such as general repairs, mechanical, and electrical systems, interior refits, fabrication & restoration of stainless-steel accessories and other services.
