Abu Dhabi; 28th November 2023: Gulf Craft took centre stage at the Gulf Superyacht Summit 2023. Under the patronage of P&O Marinas, the summit accentuates the Gulf as a premier superyacht winter destination, spotlighting Dubai's marina developments and the region's emergence as a crypto capital.
During the "Future of the Gulf" panel segment, Abeer AlShaali, Deputy Managing Director of Gulf Craft, engaged in a compelling discussion centred on spotlighting key institutions committed to fostering greater alignment at the highest levels.
Commenting on the event, AlShaali expressed: “The Gulf Superyacht Summit has grown over the years and has become a valuable platform where stakeholders come together to discuss both the specific issues of yachting in the Gulf and larger discussions affecting superyachts as a whole. The next step is to come out of this summit with an action plan, to create a path for the industry to contribute to the economies of the Gulf countries, create jobs and grow the leisure marine ecosystem. The Superyacht Intelligence Report is a great start. Now we need a plan.”
Furthermore, Captain Patricia Caswell, Gulf Craft’s QC Manager & GM of Gulf Craft Services delved into the intricate operational facets of navigating vessels within the Gulf Region during a panel titled "Captain Experiences: Cruising the Middle East," moderated by Merijn de Waard, Founder and director of SuperYacht Times. Captain Caswell shared invaluable insights alongside fellow captains, shedding light on the practical experiences, challenges, and nuances encountered while cruising these waters.
The noteworthy event unfolded at Hilton Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, on November 22nd & 23rd showcasing the Gulf's escalating prominence in the global superyacht industry, with Abeer AlShaali and Captain Patricia Caswell actively contributing to vital discussions that will shape the industry's future.
